The Breakfast Club

more snaps. from not so mini-canon point and shoot.

FUN!

This is a post from my blog that I thought you guys might appreciate...

This video reminds me of when I was a teenager. We had this hill nearby which had roads like that and had hardly any traffic because the area was in council planning red tape. The only difference was that we were on skateboards. Someone would have the car and drive us up the hill and then meet us at the bottom again. We didn't have any proper equipment so we made do with what we had which included bandannas, old rubber tires to stick on the soles of your shoes and mums driving sunnies. Good times!

Cranky Breakfast

Cranky Sundays has evolved in many way over the the past few years..
I'm going to be honest with you, I come along for the ride.
The social side is a benefit, although there seems to be a lot more fluffing around and less riding.
Maybe if there is going to be a breakfast involved, those people could meet up at 11 and meet the rest at 12?
Sorry, just calling it as I see it.

KNEE JERK?

I thought this rant from Andy from Fyxomatosis to be spot on and supports how most people feel about the issue.

If you didn't know already, read it HERE...

This is what Andy had to say...

CRACKDOWN ON ROGUE CYCLISTS TO IMPROVE ROAD SAFETY

Read it - digest it - take your own stance.

It's quite paradoxical this town.

We've got a past Premier bringing the worlds biggest cycling event to town, and past mayor who proposed introducing a 'white bike' scheme.

We have a current Mayor who openly describes cyclists as a pest, wishing to remove them alltogether if he had his way, and a current Premier who is passing a NEW LAW that is a reaction to an episode of statistical anomaly - actually, morepeople have been killed by being struck by lightning than a cyclist.

We should make a law for it.

Bloody lightning.

I don't disagree that reckless riding is dangerous and should be penalised, but such a vague description leaves it up to the discretion of the LAW to make their own opinion of 'what they saw'.

Redux Edition Remix

This is going to be fun.

Saw the prizes up for grabs and there is some nice little items in there.

There's a fixed time limit so you wont have to worry about wandering lost around the city and suburbs trying to find the last checkpoint and know where the finish is...

It's going to be a dry night, and riding around the city will warm you more than whiskey ever could.

FINISHED!!!

FINALLY!!!

Ruben Alcantara...Wall ride king

Bob Maddox 74 mph jet bike.

How about some banjo music?

So it's a long weekend and i have itchy pedals. I'm out of town on Sunday but I figure people might be up for some riding on Saturday or Monday.

I have a couple of ideas that will be more fun if it's not just me rolling along. Thinking mid-pace, about 30-50km distance depending on where we end up. No need for elaborate preparation, but some secret spandex might help.

The weather is favouring Sat morning and scattered parts of Monday...
