Can't say I am the biggest P.Rod fan, but this ad is awesome... Count the cameos and such a good feel.
The 'behind the scenes' has some cool extras.

NICE PICS

Im sure all of you watched some or the entire Tour De France. Im proud to say that this year I managed to watch almost all of the stages xept for the Friday and Saturday ones cos I have work. I won't comment on the race cos I don't know shit about road racing and its culture compared to most. Ill leave that to the other bike blogs like THIS to give you their expert opinion and criticism.
These photos popped up on one of my favourite sites for pics, so I thought I might link it if you haven't seen it them already.
Headwind Sundays
Sunday's ride was cool. Didn't check out BOM so not exactly sure what the headwind riding out towards Epping was, but my on-board weatherometer gave me a reading of 1000km/h. Nice to see a rural side of Melbourne though, and the ride back towards the city was really cool! Nice hills. Probably not so nice when you're sliding down them on your ass with a mini-truck behind you though, right Ben? Hope your leg's okay.
I was actually so inspired by the farmland on the way out that I went home and sat right down at my easel and just let all the inspiration out onto a canvas. Check out the results. I'm pretty happy with them.

I know that recently it was proposed that we decide where to ride during the week, so come Sunday morning, we can get right down to business. With that in mind, I've mapped one out for consideration.
Check it here: Cranky Sundays Yarra Bend Loop
It's part road, part trail, but not too much trail, and nice when it is. Not terribly long, but the rolling hill section at the end on Yarra Boulevard will make you feel like you rode double that. And if you are super attentive, you'll see that it appears we wade through the Yarra at Fairfield. We don't, there's actually a pipe-bridge there.
P.S. Have you seen that video of the skater getting a gun pulled on him over at Fuck Cunts!? Intense.
P.P.S. If you haven't heard it yet, check out Diplo's pretty cool remix of Britney. Lets fucking party.

EXPOSURE

I don't know if too much general public exposure is good for the whole fixie thing, but I guess if its positive then it can't be a bad thing. There are a few key individuals and crews who support the scene wholeheartedly and are open to its progression and they know who they are. Hopefully the media will continue to help promote bikes in this manner.
PS. Make sure you check out all three vids in the series.

GOOD SHIT!

Just wanted to say that yesterdays ride to Doncaster was awesome! Even though we stole the route from the Wednesday night ride, It was a new ride for most of us and what a beautiful day mother nature gave us as well. I really felt sorry for the 3 asian dudes who had to take their mate home when we got to Toorak - maybe next time we will warn you of where we are going before we actually do.
I will be In Brisbane for work this weekend, but I think we should try and find more trails like what we did on Sunday. Im sure Melbourne is full of them.
